Updates

So, here are some updates on my life:

1.  Gavin DeGraw was at my church tonight. Apparently, he was there last week as well.  It still amazes me that my little church attracts "famous" people.  I stood near him for about 10 minutes after the service as he talked to my pastor and I waited for him to leave because I also needed to say something to my pastor.  If you're not sure who Gavin is, I've got his music playing on here now.

2.  I had a very long conversation tonight with the actress who lives in my building.  She is SO nice.  I want to get to know her better.  Not because she's an actress, but because I think I could really like her.  Promise.

3.  One of my bosses was let go last week.  I've seen it coming for months.  We did not have the greatest working relationship and I had kind of been looking forward to this day.  However, once it was done, I was still kind of shocked and saddened.  He is a nice guy, just wasn't great at his job.  He has a stay-at-home wife and two daughters and it's not the best time to be job searching in NYC.  I feel for him and his family.

4.  I have a new boss starting tomorrow.  Yes, already.  Although, she isn't really replacing the one who was let go.  Eventually she will replace my direct boss.  I'm nervous about all these changes.  Trying to have a good attitude and hoping for the best!

5.  Work was crazy last week.  Too much gossip.  I'm ready for a new week.

6.  My 10k training has been less than stellar the past 3 weeks for a variety of reasons, laziness included.  I will do better this week and I will be able to run 6 miles 4 weeks from today.

7.  I got to go to Dane Cook's comedy show at MSG last week.  It was part of the New York Comedy Festival.  Rosella went with me (we sat in the NHL suite, of course).  It was fun...he was pretty funny.

8.  I got my haircut at the Curly Girl Salon yesterday.  I think she cut it too short this time.  It will grow.

9.  After wearing the long, black wig for Halloween, I'm contemplating dying my hair black.  I love black hair, just wasn't sure I could pull it off.  Now I think maybe I can.

That's all.
