Beth & Brian came to visit me over the weekend. When I was home for Memorial Day weekend, I asked Brian to let her come up one more time because I'm afraid she'll NEVER come up after #3 is born. Beth came in on Thursday and Brian just happened to have work in Philly last week, so he took the cheap bus over on Friday. Last week, Beth emailed me to see if I thought it was okay that she was planning to wear sundresses and flip flops the whole time. Here was my response:
"Beth-- sundresses is fine, I think. Although, it hasn't really been summer here much, so you might bring a light sweater or something to pull on over your dress if it is chilly. Also, I've seen people wearing shoes like these twice in the past 2 days so if you want to be "in" in NYC, you might pick up a pair of these:"
I saw another pair the next day. Are those not the weirdest shoes? Beth & I were on a mission to find a pair to try on and take pictures with. Those pictures and more updates from the weekend coming soon....

NY is so funny with their fashion things. I'd get the weirdest looks if I walked around with something like that around here! Can't wait to see pics!
What are people wearing them with? Dresses? Shorts? Over pants?
Nicole, I think people would look at you strange if you walked around HERE with them. I know I would/did at those girls. But, yes, for sure in Perryton, TX. I should send you a pair just so you can test it out. I saw 3 pairs on girls last week...none so far since.
Jessica...very short shorts & dresses. I did see another girl with more normal gladiator sandals and her pants tucked down in them....kind of gave them the same effect.
